Ryanair passengers warned – New rules on boarding passes coming into force in November
Ryanair has issued a timely warning to everyone booked to travel with the airline from November 3rd. No paper boarding passes will be allowed, and only digital boarding passes will be accepted at Departure gates.
From November 3rd, anyone who travels with Ryanair MUST carry a digital boarding pass.
The move means passengers will no longer be able to download and print off a copy of their boarding card and will instead have to use a digital one, created by the myRyanair app.

CEO of Ryanair Michael O’Leary made no apologies for the new move, saying ‘at the moment, between 85 and 90 percent of passengers show up with smartphones, and we want to move everybody onto the smartphone technology’
The airline announced last year that it would become a fully paperless flyer, a move which is expected to save 300 tonnes of paper every year, according to Ryanair.

Ryanair says that from November 3rd, you will need to show a digital boarding pass, downloaded from the Ryanair app, and this will be available immediately after you check in for your flight online
The company says the aim is to make travelling simpler, with ‘all travel documents accessible in one convenient place’.
Meanwhile, earlier this week Ryanair announced that it is planning to raise bonuses for staff who spot passengers attempting to take ‘oversized baggage’ on flights.
The airline’s chief executive Michael O’Leary said he makes ‘absolutely no apology’ for catching people who are ‘scamming the system’.
Speaking at a press conference in central London, Mr O’Leary told reporters the carrier will likely raise incentives for gate staff who intercept passengers trying to bring oversized luggage on board from 1.50 euros (£1.29) to 2.50 euros (£2.16) per bag from November.
