Electric Picnic bosses ‘blown away’ as tickets for 2026 sell out in minutes
While some music fans are still recovering from this year’s Electric Picnic, tickets for the 2026 event have already sold out in minutes.
An eye-watering 80,000 festival goers descended on Stradbally, Co Laois, last weekend, which boasted acclaimed international acts, homegrown talent, and a whole lot more in between, while the weather ranged from splitting sunshine to washouts.
From Chappell Roan to Kneecap, last weekend was one to remember. And despite zero announcements about next year’s acts, music fans were left in a flurry to make sure they attend next year.

Tickets went on sale at 9am on Wednesday morning, and by 10.40am, Electric Picnic bosses announced that they had sold out.
Taking to social media, they wrote: ‘WOW! We’re blown away! Just like that, Electric Picnic 2026 is COMPLETELY sold out!
‘If you managed to secure a golden ticket, we’ll see you in Stradbally next year!’

They added: ‘We can’t wait to do it with you all again!’
While many fans are celebrating on social media today, many more were left gutted after they missed out on the coveted tickets.
One person wrote: ‘Why sell loyalty and general access on the same day? Defeats the purpose and disregards loyal customers.’
Another said: ‘First time I didn’t get a ticket and got through the queue couple of times coming since 2012,’ while a third added: ‘Lovely to see excitement of first timers who got tickets but would like to be there alongside them.’
